A fire causes sixty thousand dollars worth of damage to a Columbia residence early this (Wednesday) morning.
According to the Columbia Fire Department it happened at around 1:40 this (Wednesday) at 3408 Ridgecrest Drive.
The department says the fire was contained to the kitchen.
One adult and 2 dogs were in the home at the time of the fire and were able to escape unharmed.
Unattended cooking is said to have caused the fire.
