The attorney for Serghei Comerzan is asking a judge to reprimand Audrain County Prosecutor Jacob Shellabarger.
According to a report from Channel 13 KRCG News John James said that his reprimand request is in regards to an altercation following closing arguments in last week’s trial of Comerzan who is accused of 2nd Degree murder in the death of Missouri State Trooper James Bava.
The motion also objects to the prosecutors office asking to keep them from publicly speaking about the case.
A judge in St. Charles will rule on the motions June 15th.
