One Hospitalized After Audrain Crash

A Shelbina man is hospitalized after a car crash in Audrain County this morning. [Monday]

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened when 35 year old Corey Peacock was traveling southbound on Highway E. He failed to stop for a stop sign and crossed highway 22 onto county road 957.

He then hit a raised railroad grade crossing before leaving the right side of the roadway.

He was taken by Audrain Ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia with moderate injuries.

South Morris Street Closure Rescheduled

Mexico Public Works is rescheduling a street closure on South Morris that was planned for today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday). The sewer repairs have been rescheduled at South Morris Street between Wilmar and Frances street for January 2nd through 4th. Detour signs will be placed in the area while the work is being completed.
