Standoff Ends In Laddonia

A suspect is in custody after a pursuit through Montgomery and Audrain County this afternoon. [Thursday]

After several hours of stand-off and negotiation, the Audrain County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Laddonia Police Department were able to arrest 30 year George E. Johnson.

He had a felony arrest warrant for endangering the welfare of a child and a misdemeanor warrant for violation of an ex-parte.

The events began when a resident reported seeing Johnson in Laddonia late this morning before he left the area, and was spotted in Montgomery County. An officer attempted a stop and Johnson fled the scene to a residence on Locust Street in Laddonia.

54 year old Elizabeth Goodwin of Laddonia was arrested for hindering prosecution.

Johson was located with the help of the Audrain County K9, Chal.
