Missouri State Auditor Nicole Galloway has begun an audit on the Callaway County Collector’s Office.
Galloway announced today [Tuesday] her department has begun the required audit after the office has been vacated.
Galloway said in a statement her office will be working closely with law enforcement officials.
The audit follows the resignation of the former collector, Pam Oestreich, on March 15 after suspicious activity was noted on a bank account she maintained.
