KXEO Sports Report for 4/7/18: Tigers Baseball Cold Day, Cold Offense, Blues Make Playoff Push, Royals Lose

The 18th ranked Missouri Tigers Baseball Team dropped its series opener against Alabama 2-1 yesterday (Friday) at Taylor Stadium.

The Tigers were only able to muster one run on 13 hits on what was a cold, and windy day at the ball park.

The Kansas City Royals lost 3-2 to the Detroit Tigers on the road yesterday (Friday).

Royals starter Danny Duffy who had not pitched since opening day on March 29th struggled with his command.

In the first inning, he walked the first two hitters he faced, and when the dust settled the Indians overcame a 2-0 deficit scoring 3 runs and taking the lead for good.

The St. Louis Blues improved their chances of making the playoffs snapping a four game losing streak with a 4-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks.

All the Blues have to do now is either defeat or take the Colorado Avalanche into overtime tonight (Saturday) which is the final game of the season.
