SSM Audrain and City of Mexico to Offer Program That Could Save Money on Medications to Community

Residents in Mexico now have a program available to them that could save them money on Medication.

SSM Audrain and the City of Mexico entered into an agreement that provides indigent care to the community.

SSM Audrain Hospital President Donna Jacobs says it is the 340B Federal Program which allows drug manufacturers to provide outpatient drugs at significantly reduced prices for eligible organizations.

Webber Pharmacy , Wal-Mart as well as Wal-Greens have come on board for the program.

Jacobs says the program gets reviewed annually as certain criteria must be met.
