After a chunk of ice fell through the dome at Rogers Center in Toronto, the game against the Kansas City Royals was in question.

It appears the game will go on as planned at 6:07 with Eric Skoglund on the mound against Jaime Garcia.

The one and only time a game has been postponed at Rogers Center was April 12, 2001, when the Skydome did not operate correctly. That game was against the Royals.

That St. Louis Cardinals series opener against the Chicago Cubs has been postponed to July 21 due to inclement weather.

The Redbirds have released a song in honor of hall of fame pitcher, Bob Gibson.

The team hired Adam Maness to develop the single in the style of the hit broadway musical “Hamilton.”

The inspiration for the songwriters game from Gibson’s autobiography “From Ghetto to Glory.”
