Local Reaction and Memories to the Passing of former First Lady Barbara Bush

Local residents are mourning the loss of the former First Lady Barbara Bush.

Tony Senors American History teacher at the Mexico High School says he was just in grade school when Bush visited the Mexico Military Academy in 1996 on her Literacy Tour.

Mr. Senors was a part of the Eugene Elementary School Choir that performed during Bush’s visit at the Missouri Military Academy in the mid 90’s.

Senors says he has shared the story of Barbara Bush’s visit to Mexico with his history class before but will be talking about again today (Wednesday).
