KXEO SPORTS REPORT FOR 4/27/18: CARDS WIN IN EXTRAS, ROYALS LOSE, CHIEFS QUIET ON DAY ONE OF NFL DRAFT

The St. Louis Cardinals are tied for first place in the National League Central going into today (Friday) after a wild 13 inning 4-3 win over the New York Mets yesterday (Thursday).

Dexter Fowler was the man of the hour driving in Jose Martinez with a walk off single in the 13th.

The Cardinals ended up with a 5-1 home-stand and are on the road against Pittsburgh tonight (Friday).

 

The Kansas City Royals lost 6-3 to the Chicago White Sox.

Royals Right Fielder Jon Jay went 2-4 in the loss and raised his batting average to .333.

 

The Kansas City Chiefs stayed out of day one of the NFL Draft not making any moves.

Today (Friday) is expected to be a different story as the chiefs have eight picks going into the second day of the draft.

Round 2 starts at 6 tonight (Friday).
