The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man who was found dead in the trunk of a car on Tuesday.
The man has been identified as 30 year old Michael A. Schaefer of Owensville.
Deputies were called to the parking lot of a former Burger King in Oak Grove Village for a vehicle with a foul odor emanating from it.
Upon arrival, investigators discovered a 2012 Grey Toyota Corolla that had been reported stolen from Owensville.
The investigation into Schaefer’s death is ongoing.
