The Mexico Dollar Tree on South Clark Street has had to push back its grand opening this (Thursday) morning.
According to a member of the stores management team the sewer in the vacant building next door has backed up inside of their store.
Store members and a Roto-Rooter truck were at the store working to get things cleaned up.
The manager told customers they are hoping to get the store opened by the afternoon.
The Mexico drug take back event held on Saturday, yielded 80 pounds of unwanted and unused drugs. It was significantly less than the 183 pounds collected during the same time last year. The drugs collected will now be shipped off to the DEA for destruction.
