The Little Dixie Fire Protection District will be participating in a specialized training on Sunday.
According to Chief Kenneth Hoover, members of the district will have grain bin entrapment rescue training.
The day will begin with a lecture before moving to the practice site south of Sydenstricker Implement Company.
The training was made possible by a grant from the Monsanto Company to pay for opportunity.
The grant is covering the cost of the training conducted by the University of Missouri Fire and Rescue Training Institute as well as the purchase of Coffer Dam grain bin rescue equipment.
The public is invited to watch the practical part of the class that should begin after lunch.
