Missouri House Seat Flipped to Democrat in Special Election

A republican seat in the Missouri state senate has been flipped to Democrat.

Lauren Arthur defeated Kevin Corlew last (Tuesday) night in Missouri’s first special election since Republican Governor Eric Greitens resigned.

Arthur is a former educator and will represent most of Clay County, a suburban area north of downtown Kansas City.

The seat was previously represented by Republican Ryan Silvey who stepped down in January.
