A man who admitted he exchanged gunfire with law enforcement in Monroe County in August of 2016 was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Kevin Marshall entered a guilty plea on the charges of assault on a law enforcement officer, unlawful use of a weapon, burglary and resisting arrest.
The shootout took place following a car chase. Marshall was struck several times in the incident.
The judge followed the prosecutor’s recommendation of 20 years in the sentencing, and denied his request for probation.
