The Chairman of a House Committee tasked with investigating criminal allegations against former Governor Eric Greitens says taxpayers should not pay his legal bills.
Jay Barnes submitted a letter to the Office of Administration urging they reject the payments requested by the Kansas City based Graves Garrett law Firm.
The agency had sent a bill of $153, 300 in reference to the investigation into accusations of sexual and political misconduct.
Barnes says the bill should be the sole responsibility of Greitens.
