An infant is back safe with its legal guardian after being taken from Mexico last (Monday) night.
According to Mexico Public Safety a male child was taken by his mother 20 year old Toinyia Combs of Mexico during a public visit in the 600 block of Summit.
Officers say Combs took the infant to a car during the visit and drove from the area despite the guardian trying to stop her.
Law enforcement statewide were notified of the incident just after 11pm and located Combs and the infant in Macon County.
Combs is being held in the Macon County Jail pending a warrant by Mexico Public Safety and the Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney for Parental Kidnapping.
