Night One Of Miss Missouri In The Books

The first night of preliminary competition in the 2018 Miss Missouri and Miss Missouri Outstanding Teen Pagent is in the books and 4 preliminary winners have been chosen.

For the teens, the rookie award for evening gown and on stage question went to Hannibal’s Outstanding Teen Rylee Ingram of Palmyra. Her platform is Early Childhood Literacy.

The overall teen evening gown and question winner for the night was Miss Heartland Ashley Whipple, who answered a question about her platform called Just A Drop: Type 1 Diabetes Awareness.

In the Miss competition, the rookie talent winner went to Miss Greater Springfield Jordan Belcher for a lyrical dance to “Piece By Piece.”

The overall talent winner was Miss Metro St. Louis for her performance of “Flight of the Bumblebee” on the marimba.

Preliminary competition continues Thursday at 7:30 at the Missouri Military Academy in Mexico.
