Miss Missouri Outstanding Teen Crowned

A new Miss Missouri Outstanding Teen was crowned Friday night at the Missouri Military Academy in Mexico.

Miss Heartland’s Outstanding Teen Ashley Whipple will represent Missouri in Orlando in July to compete for the title of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen.

Whipple is a three year veteran of the pageant, and says being a home school student will make her more available to represent her platform bringing an end to type 1 diabetes.

The remaining members of the top five were fourth runner up Lauren Vanlandingham, third runner up Shae Smith, second runner up Taylor Blackwell, and first runner up Faith Whatley-Blaine.
