Jury Still Deliberating In Penalty Phase Of Nichols Trial

A jury is still deliberating the fate of Jeffery Nichols who was convicted of the murder of 92 year old Carmelia Kaser.

The jury is tasked with deciding if Nichols will be sentenced to the death penalty for Kaser’s death on Easter Sunday in 2013.

One of the witnesses this morning [Monday] studied an MRI of Nichols’ brain, and said there was damage to the decision making frontal lobe.

The jury found him guilty of 17 charges related to Kaser’s death late Thursday night.
