Threats Made Against Centralia Catholic Church

The FBI, along with the Centralia Police Department are involved in investigating  some threats made against a church last month.

According to reports from the Centralia Fireside Guard a report was made by an employee of a Columbia hospital that a patient was making threats against Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Centralia.


According to the Guard Father James Offutt, the pastor of the church informed police a note had been left at the church demanding a half a million dollars or else various threats would be carried out.

The church canceled all activities and services for a week.

Lt. Joe Bellamy with the Centralia Police Department reports that the case is being worked on along with the U.S. Attorney General’s office and the FBI.
