Mexico Public Safety is continuing to respond to incidents or calls regarding fireworks.
The department reports since the time fireworks tents opened, about one week before the Fourth of July, Mexico had about 50 documented firework incidents. About 30 of these were during the overnight hours of July 4th through 5th.
Major Brice Mesko says the incidents were either called in by citizens or observed by patrolling officers.
Incidents included reports of juveniles shooting fireworks at other juveniles, to throwing fireworks inside of a parked vehicle with its window down.
Mesko says if residents were peacefully shooting fireworks on their own property they were generally given a warning first.
