A Vandalia Woman is facing DWI, resisting arrest and several other charges after an arrest by police over the weekend.
According to Vandalia Police officers stopped 43 year old Marietta Marie Martin for a lane violation on the 400 block of North Main Street.
Police say Martin was given a field sobriety and arrested for driving while intoxicated and had to be forcibly restrained and handcuffed.
Martin was later released and given a date to appear at the Audrain County Associate Circuit in Mexico.
