A lightning strike causes damage to a tree on Garfield during a storm yesterday (Thursday) morning.
Mexico Public Safety says they were called to the 800 block of Garfield at around 10:30 yesterday (Thursday) morning.
The strike had followed cable lines to a nearby building and hit a tall tree.
Power was terminated to the buildings until an electrician determined the safety of the wiring.
No injuries reported.
