Voting Underway In August Primary

Polls opened at 6 this (Tuesday) morning for the August Primary.

Several issues that voters will see on the ballot today (Tuesday) include a highly contended Proposition A which is the issue of right to work.

Eleven candidates running to be the Republican nominee for United States Senator including Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley.

In Audrain county Republican Candidates running for 12th Circuit Judge Jason Lamb and Tim Joyce.

Republicans running  to represent District 10 for state senator are Kent Haden, Adela Falk, and Ed Lockwood.

Ayanna Shivers is running unopposed on the Democratic side to represent District 10 as State Senator.

In Callaway County Fulton Public Schools are asking voters to approve Proposition K. That would raise the school district’s property tax levy by 57 cents, to $3.89 per one hundred dollars of assessed value.

If approved it is estimated to yield an extra 1.2 to 1.3 million dollars in annual revenue.
