Grass Fires and Burning Railroad Ties in Mexico
Mexico Public Safety is reporting several calls of fires in the area yesterday (Monday).
The first happened yesterday (Monday) morning around 11:37 east of the Morris Street railroad crossing.
Employees of of the Norfolk Southern Railroad said they were doing maintenance on the track when a grass fire started.
It was put out by the employees no injuries reported.
Other calls included railroad ties burning at the crossing near Snyder at 2:50pm.
Around 3:49 a tie was burning west of the Morris Street crossing and at 9:09 last (Monday) a tie was burning east of Green Boulevard.
There were no injuries and no property damage from any of the incidents.
