The city of Mexico, Missouri is being honored with an award for excellence in financial reporting.
City Manager Bruce Slagle says this is the 29th year that the city received this award.
The certificate of achievement was given to the city yesterday (Thursday) and is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.
