In other Cardinals news Interim Manager Mike Shildt announced he will be moving starting pitcher Luke Weaver to the bullpen and Daniel Poncedeleon will be taking his place.
Weaver was 6-11 on the year with a 4.67 earned run average.
The Kansas City Royals with a 7-6 loss the Chicago White Sox.
A bright spot for the Royals came yesterday (Sunday) as Whit Merrifield stole his 27th base of the season.
He is tied for the most stolen bases in the American League with two other players.
