Two suspects involved in the murder of Leon Wilder III on July 6, 2017 on Audrain County Road 997 will be sentenced after pleading guilty to drug trafficking charges tomorrow. [Friday]
Justin Traughber and Arline Diedrich entered guilty pleas on June 29.
According to a probable cause statement, Traughber told investigators he had been in an argument with Wilder over a drug deal. During this argument he displayed a gun, and said Wilder then left the area with Diedrich and Richard Henry II.
The probable cause statement also says Wilder told a witness Henry and Diedrich were going to kill him.
Court documents also say Diedrich told investigators she was in the truck when Henry allegedly shot Wilder in the head. She admitted she went through his pockets to retrieve the money Wilder had been given in the alleged drug deal.
Traughber and Diedrich will appear in Audrain County Court at 9AM.
