Mexico Girls Softball Defeat Conference Rival Fulton Hornets 6-1

The Mexico Bulldogs Girls Softball team with a 6-1 conference win over the Fulton Hornets last (Thursday) night.

Head Coach Keith Louder says his team got out to an early lead and made it stick.

Aaryn Sampo with a 2 run home run.

Paytience Lawson Holman from the mound went seven innings with six strikeouts, allowing only four hits.

Reghan Smiht was 1-4 with a double.

Lawson-Holman was 3-4, Hayley Mills with 2 walks and 1 run scored.

Logan Blevins was 1-4 with a run, Matie Roth went 2-4, Abby Oetting was 2-2 with a double and 2 RBI.

Kaylee jones was 1-3 with a walk.

And Taylor Sherrow on her birthday was 2-4, with 2 RBI and a stolen base. Mexico is now 7-2 overall and 3-0 in the NCMC.

The Bulldogs take the field this (Friday) afternoon at 2 in the Capitol City Tournament in Jefferson City against Lee’s Summit.
