KXEO Sports Report for 10/12/18

Mexico Bulldogs Football  on the road in tonight (Friday) for the Highway 54 Bowl against the Fulton Hornets.

The Dogs are 4-3 while the Hornets are searching for their first win of the year at 0-7.

This is the 127th meeting between Mexico and Fulton.

Fulton leads the all time series with 63 wins and Mexico has 57 wins there have been 6 ties.

The Mexico Bulldogs Softball team are moving on in district playoffs after defeating the Southern Boone Eagles 1-0.

It was a dramatic walk off single from Paytience Lawson-Holman that drove in Taylor Sherrow from third base in the seventh inning.

Paytience Lawson-Holman also dominated from the mound striking out 17 and allowing no runs.

The Bulldogs advance to the District Championship Game on tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon and will face the Helias Crusaders.

Helias defeated the Fulton Hornets 8-2.

The North Callaway Lady Thunderbirds beat Hallsville 2-1 in the district semi-finals.

North Callaway will play in the district championship game tomorrow (Saturday) at 1 against Father Tolton.
