Mexico Bulldogs Girls Softball District Champions

The Mexico Lady Bulldogs are the District 8 Softball Champions after defeating the Helias Crusaders 9-2.

The Lady dogs got their offense up and going in the second inning with back to back home runs Hayley Mills and Abby Oetting.

Then Abby Oetting would hit her second jack of the game in the third inning with a three run blast.

Logan Blevins joined the home run party with a three run blast in the fifth inning.

Paytience Lawson-Holman pitched seven innings and recorded 6 strikeouts allowing only 2 runs.

Mexico will be hosting a Sectional play off game next week against the winner of St. Dominic and Hannibal.
