Schools around the state are participating in Bus Safety Week.
Mexico Public Schools Transportation Director Curt Jackson says students will be conducting evacuation drills and being reminded about bus etiquette.
National Bus Safety Week runs until Friday.
Last year there were 869 crashes involving school buses statewide. Out of those crashes, 5 were killed and 401 were injured.
