Man Sentenced For Shooting At Columbia Bar

A former University of Missouri student was sentenced today [Monday] for a shooting at the Black and Gold Bar in Columbia on April 26.

Miles Hillegas will spend 7 years in prison.


The incident occurred when 3 men were in an altercation in the parking lot and one was hit by gunfire. Hillegas and the other man fled, and Hillegas was arrested in May in Ward County, Texas.

Hillegas had previously entered a guilty plea on the charges of second degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
