KXEO Sports Report for 12/27/18: Mexico Boys Basketball Team Rolla Bound and Multiple Time State Wrestling Champion In Town
The Mexico Bulldogs boys basketball team will be in their first tournament of the year starting today (Thursday) when they face Raytown South in the Rolla Tournament.
Bulldogs head coach Darrin Pappas says this will be a very competitive tournament.
The Bulldogs tip at 1 pm this (Thursday) afternoon.
They will face either the winner or loser of the Carthage and Warrensburg game tomorrow (Friday).
Three time Mexico state wrestling champion Kellen Ekern is helping out with Mexico wrestling practices during Christmas break from college at Old Dominion.
Ekern says wrestling at the college level is much different than high school.
Ekern has a record of 9-3 so far at Old Dominion.
