High Winds Cause Several Power Outages In Columbia

Power is restored to more than fifteen hundred people in Columbia after high winds caused two outages last (Friday) night.

Power was out for around three hours last (Friday) night for customers of Columbia Water and Light.

The winds caused a large tree to fall across distribution lines.

According to Boone County Joint Communications a traffic light was also taken out by the winds at West Nifong and Forum Boulevard.
