It was the fifth straight win for the Redbirds.

The Cardinals 37 year old pitcher Adam Wainwright struck out five and pitched 6 1/3 innings and picked up a win.

Reliever Andrew Miller picked his first save in a Cardinals uniform.

The Kansas City Royals game against the Tampa Bay Rays was postponed yesterday (Tuesday) due to rain.

The two teams will play a straight doubleheader today (Wednesday) starting at 12:15 with the second game starting 45 minutes after the completion of the first game.

The NBA playoffs are in full swing and it has been a particularly physical battle between the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets.

Rockets star James Harden says he can barely see after last (Tuesday) nights game.

Harden was hit in both eyes during the first quarter.

He had bleeding in both eyes and suffered a laceration on his left eyelid.

He still finished with 29 points.

Warriors star guard Stephen Curry also briefly left the game because of an injury in the first quarter, where he dislocated the middle finger on his left hand.

Curry only missed a few minutes, an X-ray came back negative.

The Warriors ended up winning the game last (Tuesday) night 115-109 and hold a 2-0 series lead on the Rockets.
