The Mexico Bulldogs are advancing to the semi-finals in district baseball play.
Mexico defeated Wright City this afternoon with a score of 1 to nothing.
Ty Prince went five innings, allowing 2 hits with 4 strikeouts.
Zach Watkins earned the save with 2 innings of work with 5 strikeouts.
Jesse Fennewald went 2 for 2 at the plate, scoring the lone RBI in the game.
The Bulldogs will face the 2nd seeded Hannibal Pirates today (Tuesday).

In other district baseball South Callaway defeated Fulton 12-1 in five innings.

The Hallsville Indians ended the North Callaway Thunderbirds season with a 16-0 win in four innings. North Callway finishes the year with a 9-17 mark.

The Missouri Tigers women’s basketball coach Robin Pingeton is making plans for another successful season.
Coach Pingeton and the Tigers have made the NCAA Tournament four consecutive years.
Pingeton says when the season starts back up her team will look different without Sophie Cunningham who graduated and is now playing in the WNBA.
The Missouri Tigers women’s basketball team finished last season with a 24-8 overall record.

The St. Louis Blues with a 4-2 win over the San Jose Sharks in Game 2 of the Western Conference Final last (Monday) night.
Robert Bortuzzo scored the tie-breaking goal late in the second period.
It was Bortuzzo’s first Stanley Cup Playoff goal in 31 games.
The Blues and Sharks are tied in the series at 1 game apiece with game 3 switching to St. Louis tomorrow (Wednesday).
