The tailspin continues for the St. Louis Cardinals with a 4-3 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies last (Tuesday) night.
Cardinals veteran pitcher Adam Wainright turned 10 strikeout performance in the loss.
Despite the 10 strikeouts and having a 3-0 lead in the top of the first, Wainwright was done in by a pair of 2 run hits, including a 2 run homer in the fourth.
Marcel Ozuna and Paul Goldscmidt each with home runs.
The Kansas City Royals lost twice yesterday (Tuesday) to the Chicago White Sox.
The first game was a 2-1 loss and was a completion of a suspended game from Monday.
In the night cap the Royals 4-3.
The Royals fell to 18-36 overall and are in last place in the American League Central Division.
The St. Louis Blues will look to get even in the Stanley Cup Final with Boston Bruins tonight (Wednesday) after losing game 1 on Monday.
The Blues have not won in Boston since November 22nd, 2016.
