Negotiations for a potential purchase of SSM Hospitals in Mexico and Jefferson City to MU Health Care is in a blackout period according Missouri State Representative Kent Haden.
He says neither side is able to talk about the negotiations right now due to a legal contract.
Senator Haden says he hopes lawmakers will take up the matter when the next legislative session starts in January.
The potential purchase of the SSM hospitals in Jefferson City and Mexico was first reported in August last year.
A group of physicians in Jefferson City oppose the sell while another group in Mexico supports it.
