It took 52 years however the St. Louis Blues can now call themselves NHL Stanley Cup Champions after defeating the Boston Bruins 4-1 on the road in game 7 last (Wednesday) night.

The Blues dazed the Bruins with 2 goals late in the first by Ryan O’Reilly and captain Alex Pietrangelo, and 2 more in the third, by Brayden Schenn and Zach Sanford.
Rookie goalie Jordan Binnington unleashed his full fury on Boston, stopping 32 of 33 shots.
The victory parade is being planned as the Stanley Cup will be hoisted by the St. Louis Blues this years Stanley Cup Champions.
The St. Louis Cardinals shut out by the Miami Marlins 9-0 last (Wednesday) night.

It was another strong outing for Royals starting pitcher Danny Duffy who went seven innings and gave up just four hits and two runs.
However Royals reliever Jake Diekman loaded the bases in the 8th inning, and gave up the eventual winning run on a sac fly.
