New York Mets rookie Pete Alonso is this years Home Run Derby Champion.

He defeated fellow rookie Vladimir Guerrero Jr. of the Toronto Blue Jays in the finals at Progressive Field in Cleveland last (Monday) night.

Along the way Guerrero racked up a Derby-record 91 home runs, and set a single-round record with 29 homers in the 1st and 2nd round last (Monday) night.

Alonso took home one million dollars the largest in Derby history.
