Cooling Centers Available In Mexico During Excessive Heat Watch
With an excessive heat warning in effect for Mexico until Saturday, several public buildings are being made available as cooling centers.
The Audrain County Library building as well as the Audrain County Courthouse are available during regular business hours.
The Mexico Senior Center can also be used as a place to cool down.
Audrain County Emergency Management Director Nick Tietsort says it is also important to check on the elderly and sick neighbors during this heat.
It is also recommended not to do any extensive work outside during the excessive heat.
