The professional wrestling world is mourning the loss the legendary Harley Race this (Friday) morning.

The 76 year old lost his battle with lung cancer yesterday (Thursday) according to officials with the WWE.

During an interview KXEO Sports Director Matt Pilger  conducted with his son Leland Race last year, he says his dad was involved in the pro wrestling business since he was 15 and entertained people owning a wrestling company in Missouri.

Race won the National Wrestling Alliance World Heavyweight Championship 8 times, and had many nicknames in the business like King, and Handsome Harley.

The St. Louis Cardinals with an 8-0 shutout of the Chicago Cubs last (Thursday) night.

Redbirds starting pitcher Jack Flaherty picked up his first win since May 14th, and carried a no hitter into the seventh inning.

Paul Goldschmidt extended his hitting streak to 10 games.

St. Louis reclaimed sole possession of first place in the National League Central Division.
