Water Main Replacement At East Promenade In Mexico

Work is continuing along East Promenade Street in Mexico as Missouri American Water Company replaces a water main.
The work began last week at the intersection of Promenade and North Agricultural and will replace approximately 1100 feet of a 6-inch cast iron main with a new 8-inch PVC main.
The project will proceed east on Promenade to Grand and continue north on Grand for 350 feet where the new main will tie into the one replaced last year on Jackson.
Construction is expected to be done by the end of the month, weather-permitting; however final restoration of the area could take until mid-October.
Motorists are asked to use caution in the construction zone.
