MMA Receives Grant From Local Orgranization
The Allen P. and Josephine B. Green Foundation recently awarded a $19 thousand grant to Missouri Military Academy to restore the steeple atop the Memorial Chapel and Albright Assembly Hall.
The chapel was built in 1961, and after a half-century of use and the effects of weather has deemed the restoration necessary.
The chapel was originally constructed as a memorial to honor alumni, faculty and staff killed in action during the war. The chapel now also memorializes those who have died in the War on Terror and first responders who lost their lives in dedicated to service to others.
The Allen P. and Josephine B. Green Foundation is a private foundation focused on improving the quality of life in Missouri.
