Mexico City Council

The Mexico City Council approved the dispersal of funds from the Clarence Rothwell Last Will and Testament to the Mexico Community Sustainability Project.

Rothwell was a doctor at Audrain Medical Center.  He left a donation to help the poor and sick in the community to AMC, however, when SSM purchased the facility it became privately owned and the funds were transferred per a judge’s order to the non-profit Mexico Area Community Foundation.

The funds must be distributed in accordance to the will.

Additionally, the City Council will be moving forward with maintaining the roads surrounding Teal Lake Village.

The city will be responsible for maintaining the streets, including Amelia and Falcon Streets, along with the sanitary sewer, and storm sewer.
