Ralls County Sheriff Offers Update On Officer-Involved Shooting
The Ralls County Sheriff’s Office issued an update regarding an officer-involved shooting that took place on July 3.
The incident involved long-time Center City Clerk, Tracey Ray.
Both Ralls County Sheriff, Gerry Dinwiddie and Chief Deputy Ronald Haught Jr. were struck in the incident.
Ray sustained serious injuries and was flown to a St. Louis Hospital.
According to the sheriff’s office, the Missouri Attorney General’s Office has advised a criminal case for assault on a law enforcement officer has been referred to their office.
An investigation into possible embezzlement of funds from the City of Center is being handled by the Missouri Auditor’s Office in cooperation with the FBI.
