Then Carlos Martinez allowed 3 runs in the 9th, giving the Cards the loss.
The Redbirds are down 2-1 in the series and must win today (Monday) in order to send the series back to Atlanta for game 5.
The Kansas City Chiefs fell to the Indianapolis Colts 19-13, at Arrowhead Stadium last (Sunday) night.
It was the Chiefs first defeat of the season.
Patrick Mahomes completed 22 of his 39 passes for 321 yards and a touchdown in the game.
Kansas City remains at home next week to take on the Houston Texans.
The Missouri Tigers football team received some disappointing news yesterday (Sunday) as star senior linebacker captain Cale Garrett will be out for the remainder of the season.
Garrett suffered a torn pectoral muscle during Mizzou’s dominant 42-10 win over Troy on Saturday.
Garret led the team with 43 tackles on the season.
Quarterback Kelly Bryant also sat out the 2nd half of Saturday’s game with a sprained knee.
Team officials say Bryant is expected to participate in all team activities this week.
Missouri faces Ole Miss this Saturday in Columbia.
