A woman facing charges in the death of a 4 year old boy in Jefferson City was released from jail this morning. [Wednesday]
Quatavia Givens is charged with one count of child abuse or neglect resulting in death in relation to the death of Darnell Gray last October.
Cole County Circuit Judge Jon Beetem lowered Givens’ bond from $100 thousand cash-only to $5 thousand cash or surety last month.
Givens was Gray’s caregiver when she allegedly reported him missing leading to a week-long search.
His body was found in the 2100 block of Louis Circle. His autopsy showed he had suffered blunt and sharp force trauma.
Givens is required to wear GPS monitoring, cannot live in a home or be in the presence of children that are not her own, and she will be permitted to see her children under supervision.
